Cruel Enchantment...WIP

A cruel act by a jealous wizard has doomed these two lovers to meeting in secret in this lovely glade by the waterfall...I will be painting this as I don't think I could do it justice with just pencils...it needs color...I will also create a back story for our Merman and his Elven love...

I have wanted to do a drawing of a Merman for a long time now... I've always found 's merfolk to be enchanting and it was her work that inspired this piece... fingers crossed I do a good job painting this next week...

...hmmm, perhaps I should put the wizard in the background someplace spying on our couple... hidden in the mist near the trees...? What do you think?
