Description
Out in the misty woods with her pet squirrel, a young Elven maiden comes across a Unicorn about to touch his horn to a cool stream, perhaps to purify the water...
Thank you to for the reference pic for the Arabian Stallion who I turned into a Unicorn. I changed his color to white but I loved his pose. Go and check out her gallery and fave it up. It's her birthday tomorrow, so go wish her a Happy Birthday! She has great horse photos! [link]
Thank you also to Jo for the reference pic of the cute little squirrel. It's Jo's birthday today, so go check out her gallery and wish her a Happy Birthday! and check out her awesome gallery while you're there. [link]
Thank you also to for the inspiration for this painting...She always inspires me to paint...She has wonderful watercolor faery paintings, go Check out her gallery.
I almost forgot, thank you to my oldest daughter for posing for the Elven maiden even though she'd never be caught dead in a dress. She is also not a blond, nor is her hair long. She does love blue however... and she loves Elves and Unicorns and cute little furry creatures of all kinds...like her mum.
11 x 14 inch painting. I used watercolors, watercolor pencils, and a bit of White Sharpie paint pen, and just a smidge of Colored pencil. Painted on 140 lb.Mixed Media paper by Stathmore.
Thank you in advance for your faves and kind comments, they are, as always, greatly appreciated!
